VIVAnews - The mastermind behind the 2002 Bali bombings, Umar Patek, staged a series of reconstruction of fatal bombings which killed 202 people and injured 240 others.
Patek was with Ali Imron, Abdul Ghoni, Mubarok, Sawad and Idris during the reconstruction, each of which had played different roles in the bombings.
The first reconstruction was set in a room rented by the terrorists which is situated on Jalan Pulau Menjangan, Denpasar, at around 5 a.m., today.
The room was turned into a 'warehouse' and workshop to assemble the bombs. The second reconstruction spot took place at the US Consulate General on Jalan Hayam Wuruk.
Ali Imron came from a direction toward the target by riding a motorbike which had been equipped with assembled bombs. A moment later, he put down the bombs at the front part of the US Consulate General.
Then, the reconstruction was set up at Ubung bus station from which Patek was picked up by his co-workers.
The final reconstruction site was situated on Jalan Legian at Sari Club and Paddy's cafes, the bombing scenes. Ali Imron drove a Mitsubishi Colt L-300 and parked the car before the Kuta Paradiso Hotel. He waved his final goodbye to the suicide bombers, shouting "Allah is Great" into the air as he returned home.
Another man came after Ali Imron and shared some space on a motorbike. Not long after, the huge explosion known as Bali Bombing I occurred at 11.30 a.m on October 12, 2002.
