VIVAnews - A routine military drill this morning that the Indonesian Air Force carried out at Adi Sucipto Airport, Yogyakarta, has injured a civilian and damaged five homes situated adjacent to the training ground.
"There is an injured victim called Vincent," said a local resident, Yuswiti, in Bantul, Yogyakarta.
Vincent is a student at Adi Sucipto Institute of Technology. He suffers from minor wound in the left wrist.
An anonymous source from the Indonesian Air Force said the explosion indeed affected homes and a civilian. "We will compensate for the damages and the injury being inflicted," he said.
Prior to the drilling, an announcement had been made by the authorities. A number of Air Force officers went out to nearby villages to spread the information.
"This morning, an announcement about the drilling in which explosives were in use had been made," he said.
