Oil and Gas Production to Target E Indonesia

VIVAnews - Deputy Head of Upstream Oil and Gas Regulator (BP Migas), Hardiono, said the oil production is still below the target set by the government.

Hardiono stated BP Migas can only produce 904 thousand barrels of oil equivalent due to technical and non-technical issues on crude oil production within the past 10 years.

"We can only produce 904 thousand barrels of oil equivalent a day despite the target set by the government at 945 thousand barrels of oil equivalent," he said.

BP Migas has mostly produced crude oil than gas in the western part of Indonesia.

"We will increase production in eastern Indonesia, all of which will be used to fulfill domestic market," he said.
