VIVAnews – The identification process of the bodies from a wrecked ship on Prigi Waters, Trenggalek, East Java, Saturday, Dec 17 took place at Bhayangkara Hospital, Surabaya.
Out of the 69 bodies found, 41 of them have arrived in Bhayangkara Hospital on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Surabaya, today, Dec 22.
“41 bodies have been sent to Bhayangkara Hospital,” said Head of National SAR Team, Sutrisno to VIVAnews on Thursday, Dec 22.
He said that more bodies will continue to be delivered until today.
“The bodies will be evacuated until 3 a.m this morning, and will be sent directly to Bhayangkara Hospital,” he confirmed.
There are 4 bodies at Bondowoso Hospital and another 23 bodies will be sent to Blambangan Hospital in Banyuwangi. “One more body is still kept in Alaspurwo Banyuwangi,” he said.
69 immigrant bodies were spotted in separate locations. 28 bodies were found by Indonesian Naval ship called Untung Suropati in Banyuwangi. 7 bodies were found on Grajagan Bay. Oswald Siahaan naval ship found 21 bodies on Grajagan Bay, around 5 miles off Grajagan Beach.
Meanwhile, on Silir Agung waters, Banyuwangi, a combined team of Police, TNI and community, found 6 bodies.
23 bodies were found on Alas Purwo waters. Fishermen found 3 bodies in Tegaldelimo. SAR Team found 2 bodies in Tegaldelimo and 1 body in Tulungagung.
