VIVAnews - Shootings happened yet again in Aceh on Sunday, Jan 1 around 9.30 p.m. One resident of Seureuke village, Langkahan, North Aceh was gunned down by a group of unknown men.
The shootings took place at a coffee shop in a rural area of North Aceh. The men even asked the shop owner the direction to Langkahan and Bubu Salam. They then shot two residents who were sitting in the shop.
The victims were Suryadi, 39, and Eddi, 32. They were farmers from Seureke village. Suryadi died on the spot with a gunshot wound in his head. Meanwhile, Eddi is still in a critical condition at a local hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, five unknown men came with motorcycles. They did not wear any masks on their faces. They also shot 2 houses before they escaped towards Langkahan.
Aceh’s Police Public Relations, Comm. Gustav Leo, said that police are still gathering information about the weapons used and collecting evidences from the crime scene.
“The case is still under investigation by North Aceh’s Police,” said Gustav on Sunday night.
