VIVAnews - The Supreme Court weighed that the guilty verdict passed on a boy of the initials of AAL, who was alleged of stealing sandals, has been relevant. In fact, the decision to return AAL to his parents is deemed wise.
According to Hatta Ali, spokesperson of the Supreme Court, "returning the child to the parents is way more thoughtful than putting him behind bars."
Commenting on the debate following the case, Hatta said the defendant admitted that he had collected the sandals. "Grabbing somebody's sandals is clearly a mistake. People don't talk about the very principle of the action," he said.
"It doesn't matter whether or not the fetched sandals are expensive or not. The bottom line is that the kid took somebody's belonging by secretly. It's officially a theft," he said.
To date, the panel of judges yesterday found AAL guilty of stealing sandals. However, despite sentencing the boy to jail, the court sends him home to his parents.
AAL's attorneys were against the verdict, proceeding the case however with an appeal.
