VIVAnews – The Jakarta administration has submitted the potential voters list (DP4) to Jakarta’s General Election Committee (KPU).
The data has been put forward in a print-out of 742 volumes and 267 CDs last weekend.
The data shows that 7,545,989 Jakarta residents are considered potential voters for Jakarta's gubernatorial elections in July 11, 2012.
Chief of Jakarta’s Civil Registration Agency, Purba Hutapea, explained that from the data registry as of November 2011, it is recorded that there are 7.5 million of potential voters in DP4 for DKI Jakarta.
The details are as follow: 17,560 voters live in Kepulauan Seribu; Central Jakarta (843,457 voters); North Jakarta (1,273,669 voters); West Jakarta (1,686,297 voters); South Jakarta (1,557,611 voters); and East Jakarta (2,545,989 voters).
There are 3,678,745 female voters and 3,867,244 male voters.
Chairman Jakarta's KPU, Juri Ardiantoro, said following the submission of DP4, KPU will directly map polling stations (TPS).
“It is the opportunity for Jakarta residents to see whether he or his family has been registered as 2012’s eligible voters. If the data is incomplete, then it can be reported directly for an update. There is one month available to update the data,” Juri said in Jakarta on Monday, Jan 9th.
KPU will then compile the Temporary Voters List (DPS) and will announce it to the people for data verification. The Permanent Voters List (DPT) will be announced by mid May 2012.
