Rapist Dismissed from Civil Service Police

VIVAnews – The murderer and rapist of a civil servant in North Sulawesi, Wns, was dishonorably discharged from Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) in South Minahasa.  Wns was suspected to have murdered and raped L, and abandoned the naked body in Malalayang Beach, Manado.

“Wns was dishonorably discharged. I have ordered the administrative department to conduct the termination,” said Chief of South Minahasa’s Local Police Unit, Nofriet Ransulangi, to VIVAnews, Tuesday, Jan 24. 

Nofriet said that the murder has greatly scarred the local police’s good reputation. “Such member must be terminated. It is a disgrace to our unit,” he said.

Nofriet admitted that he didn’t expect the incident to be done by a contractual employee of the local police unit who has been working for the unit for 6 years, because Wns was known as a quiet person.   

In relation with the case, the police continue to maintain strict surveillance of Wns’ family home in Kinalawiran village, Tompaso Baru, after some unknown men threw stones at the house. VIVAnews monitored that the suspect’s parents house were damaged seen from window’s glass shreds in front of the house and also the damaged electronic appliances in the house.

The Chief of South Minahasa Police, AKBP Sumirto, stated that the attackers are not identified yet.  

“The stones throwing incident has been going on since Saturday, January 21, around 8.05 PM.  The house was pelted with medium-sized stones,” he told VIVAnews, Tuesday, Jan 24th. 

“The suspect is currently under investigation and will be dealt with firmly,” Sumirto said.  “We are urging the community not to take matters on their own hands and to leave the matter to the police. Do not act harshly.” 

The suspect’s house is currently unoccupied. Sumirto also explained that the 11 stones used in the attack have been secured as evidence.
