VIVAnews – Commission III of the House of Representatives in charge of legal affairs paid a visit to the Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK)'s office to demand its promise of 100 days work program of new leadership.
Commission III urged KPK to immediately announce the suspect of Century case, because the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has confirmed that Bank Century has inflicted a financial loss to the nation.
Members of the Commission III who visited KPK included Bambang Soesatyo, Trimedya Panjaitan, Aboe Bakar, Nasir Jamil, Ahmad Yani, and Aziz Syamsuddin.
“Our meeting with the Supreme Audit Agency discussed about the financial losses that state had to suffer from the case. We call for further study on the case. After meeting the legal procedures, then the status should be raised to investigation process,” said Aziz Syamsuddin today, Feb 3.
“They promised that they would announce the big cases that the public have been waiting for, such as: Century case, Athletes’ dorm case, etc, one day prior to their first 100 days of working,” said Bambang.
Bambang said that based on BPK’s findings, KPK no longer has any reason to delay raising Century Bank’s status to investigation stage. The eligible status means that the suspect has been determined.
“BPK has firmly stated yesterday that based on the first nine findings and the second 13 findings, the case has caused financial loss to the nation,” he said.
