VIVAnews – The Indonesian capital, Jakarta, witnesses new areas that are expected to become new expensive plots having higher rental costs or property values. The three areas are TB Simatupang, Bekasi (Sumarecon), and Serpong.
“Consumers are still willing to buy property,” property analyst, Muhammad Nawir, told VIVAnews.
Nawir said the TB Simatupang area has been growing at a considerable speed in the past few years. The growth of upscale offices and residences in the area can be used as an indicator.
In addition, land prices in the area have doubled in the past two years.
“In TB Simatupang, land prices have increased by between Rp7 million and and Rp 20 million per meter in the past two years,” said Nawir.
Meanwhile, Kota Summarecon, Bekasi, will likely be the center of elite area in East Jakarta.
Serpong, on the other hand, is likely to become the new base for elites in West Jakarta.
As reported earlier, Jakarta has recently been listed top three on growth of elite property. Jakarta is only behind Nairobi and New York.
