VIVAnews – A suspect of bribery case, Attorney Sistoyo, was hacked in the head by an unknown man after undergoing a trial at the Anti-Corruption Court in Bandung. Not only that, the Cibinong District Attorney was also accused as a traitor.
The incident took place after Attorney Sistoyo read an exception in court on Wednesday, Feb 29. The trial presided by Judge I Gusti Ngurah Artha Naya lasted only for 30 minutes.
After the trial, Attorney Sistoyo immediately left the court room. However, a man suddenly came with a small machete. “Traitor!” shouted the man and he swung the machete to the attorney’s head.
The man then went straight away while Attorney Sistoyo was holding his bleeding forehead.
Indonesia's anti-graft commission KPK arrested Attorney Sistoyo who was allegedly doing a transaction with a suspect from a case he handled in November 2011. KPK found Rp99.9 million from the attorney’s Nissan X Trail car, which was kept inside a brown envelope. In addition to Sistoyo and Edward, KPK also arrested Anton Bambang and a driver.
The bribery was allegedly in place because Edward - a businessman - was involved in a case handled by the Cibinong District Attorney.
