KPK to Call on Four State-Owned Enterprises

VIVAnews - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had summoned six departments as well as two state agencies two weeks ago in order to manage foundations owned by state agencies. This week, four state-owned enterprises (SOEs) will be under scrutiny including, "Bank Indonesia, PT Garuda Indonesia, PT Pertamina and PT Aneka Tambang," KPK Deputy Head, Haryono Umar, told reporters on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

The four state-owned enterprises is scheduled to be summoned by Friday, Feb. 27. "It will have the same schedule as the other six departments concerning coordination," said Umar.

Six agencies that KPK have summoned in line with the eradication prevention include state-owned forestry agency Perhutani, the Department of Justice and Human Rights, the Department of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, the Department of Manpower and Transmigration and the Department of Public Works.

KPK found several private foundations still made use of state facilities without paying any rent. One of the foundations is Indonesian Workers Foundation which is under the Department of Manpower and Transmigration. The foundation's office is located at a two-hectare area of land belonging to the department.
