VIVAnews - The Elections Supervisory Agency found 18 provinces with ballot shortage because of damaged ballots. The number of shortage reaches six million ballots.
The ballot shortage is found in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Banten, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, West kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, and Maluku.
There were at least 10,000 damaged ballot in regencies/municipalities. There were three provinces with the highest shortage, i.e. Jakarta especially in South Jakarta (1,093,230 sheets), West Java especially in Ciawi Regency (813,089), and North Sumatra especially in Simalungun Regency (371,600).
An officer at the Elections Supervisory Agency Agustiani Fridelina Sitorus said the revealed data is not aimed at that the general election will not be executed. "We will answer the people's curiosity on logistic development," she said.
The distribution of the general elections' logistic, Sitorus said that only Jakarta that had distributed to sub-district level.
