IPO of State Companies Awaiting Index

VIVAnews - Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) indicated that the initial public offering (IPO) of state companies can be set out if the stock index surpasses 2,000, according to Minister of SOEs Sofyan Djalil at his office on Friday, April 24. 

According to Djalil, the increase in the stock index a week ahead the parliamentary Elections was sound.

"If [the index] can be above 2,000, we can go public once again," he said.

For the time being, the state companies permitted to hold IPO include PT Waskita Karya, PT Garuda Indonesia and PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN).
