VIVAnews - The growth of Facebook users in Indonesia is the third fastest in the world. According to www.facebakers.com, Indonesia ranks fourth in the list of countries with most Facebook users.
The website also points out that the highest number of Facebook accounts were found in the US with 102,507,520 accounts, going up 2.29 percent compared to the last three months. England grabs the second spot with 22,802,920 accounts or 2.28 percent growth followed by Turkey with 17,080,340 accounts which indicates 6.63 percent increase from the last three months.
Indonesia is number four with 16,704,780 accounts, rising 2.78 percent from the last three months. Qualitatively, the growth of Indonesian Facebook users is the third fastest. Indonesia is only beaten out by Portugal with 16.26 percent growth and Pakistan with 12.84 percent growth.
Quantitatively, Indonesia is the country with the second highest number of account additions after the US. The country has 2,345,600 additional accounts in three months while Indonesia has 2,134,120 accounts.
Based on gender, most Indonesian Facebook users are males (9,790,480 users) while there are only 6,914,300 female users. Meanwhile, 40 percent of Facebookers in Indonesia are in the age of 18 to 24, 23.8 percent are 25 to 34 years old, 13.4 percent are 16 to 17 years old, 12.1 percent are 13 to 15 years old, 7.4 percent are 35 to 44 years old and the rest are 45 years old and older.
