VIVA – On the second day of Eid al-Fitr, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic Indonesia, Sandiaga Uno has left Indonesia and fly to New York, United States of America on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
Sandiaga Uno's departure to New York is attending the invitation of the President of the United Nations General Assembly or UNGA.
“I will attend the invitation from the Chair of the UN General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid. This time in the High-Level Thematic Debate event," said Sandiaga Uno in a written statement, on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
In this invitation, Sandiaga Uno will be a keynote speaker who will deliver some discussions at the United Station meeting.
He will explain about the development of tourism villages and a fair economy for all levels of society.
"We will continue to encourage the development of sustainable tourism investment that brings prosperity to the wider people," said Sandiaga Uno.

One of the realizations said by Sandiaga Uno was discussing community-based tourism which was implemented in the tourism village development program.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia will always encourage the development of sustainable tourism investment. So, it can bring prosperity to many people.
"We will continue to encourage the development of sustainable tourism investments that bring prosperity to the community," he said.
Not only that, Sandiaga Uno will also discuss about Community-based tourism which is implemented in the tourism village development program.
"This is in accordance with the strategic plan of the UN World Tourism Organization or UNWTO, namely as an effort to restore the quality and fair world tourism sector for the welfare of the many people," said Sandiaga Uno.
The discussion related to tourism at the United Nations General Assembly will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at United Nations HQ, New York City, United States.
