VIVA – During a visit to the United States, President Joko Widodo took the time to meet with he founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk, as well as inspecting the factory that produces the famous rocket in Boca Chica, yesterday local time.
President Jokowi arrived at the Stargate SpaceX Building around 10:30 AM local time, and was greeted directly by Elon Musk. They had a meeting, before going around to see the SpaceX rocket production facility.
After the review, the President said that this visit was a follow-up to his order to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to speak with Musk.
"Talk about investment, technology, innovation, and now I'm here and meet directly with Musk to discuss future cooperation," said Jokowi in an official statement.

Elon Musk on the same occasion said he was very interested in the future of Indonesia, because he feels it’s positive energy.
"I think Indonesia has great potential, and I think we through Tesla and Space X will try some collaborations with Indonesia," said Musk.
Furthermore, Musk also expressed his interest in collaborating with Indonesia, considering that the country has potential in many fields.
"We will see closely the form of cooperation in many ways, because Indonesia has a lot of potential. Moreover, Indonesia has a large population and continues to grow. This is good because we need a lot of people in the future," said Musk.
Also accompanying President Jokowi on the visit were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno and Indonesian Ambassador to the US Rosan Roeslani.
