VIVA – Indonesia people are very creative. There are so many trends in Indonesia that are very unique to do. Recently, social media has been buzzing with a new trend that is able to attract the attention of the internet people, namely the “No Backpack Day” trend.

This trend requires the students to replace their school bags with various objects and items for their school supplies.

No Backpack Day itself is one of the campaigns aimed at students in the United States to raise their awareness that many children who go to school don’t use a backpack because they cannot buy it. So, many of them use plastic bags or only use their hands to carry school supplies.

Not only in the United States, this condition is also experienced by many students in Indonesia. There are still many people out there who don’t have various school equipment, especially bags to support their learning activities.

That’s why Indonesian citizens don’t want to be left behind in following the “No Backpack Day”trend which is currently viral at their school. This trend has also been successful and has been widely carried out by students and students by several schools in Indonesia. One of them is at Kuningan 1 JHS.

Like a trending video of “No Backpack Day” which was uploaded to the Instagram account belonging to @insta.nyinyir on May 18, 2022 which managed the attention of many social media users.

In the uploaded video, it appears that students who come to school bring things to replace bags which are quite eccentric and make laughter. Where some of the students brought items that were unexpected as a substitute for bags to carry various school supplies.

Starting from gallons of water, rice containers, shopping baskets, frying pans, pillows, to food containers or locally known as besek are also used as containers instead of their backpack.
