VIVA – Indonesia, especially for badminton lovers will cure the longing to watch the badminton tournament. It’s because Indonesia will host one of the badminton tournaments that are included in the BWF World Tour series, namely the Indonesia Masters 2022.

This Super 500 level tournament will be different from the previous one because it will bring spectators. Because the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia is getting better, supporters are allowed to watch live the tournament which will be held at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, June 7 until June 12, 2022.

"Thanks to the improving pandemic conditions, badminton fans can also return to the prestigious badminton arena. This condition is certainly eagerly awaited by fans," said Sri Agung Handayani as a Marketing Director of Astra Daihatsu Motor in a virtual press conference in Jakarta on Friday, May 20, 2022.

The Chairman of PP PBSI, Alex Tirta said that the Indonesia Masters 2022 event was highly anticipated by badminton lovers in the country. Hope that this prestigious championship can be treated for the longing for a world-class quality badminton.

According to Alex Tirta, 273 players from 28 countries will participate in this championship. Indonesia itself fielded 53 players. The world's top badminton players have declared their presence and are ready to enliven the competition. Players who successfully won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, also came and became a magnet for themselves.

Some of them are Viktor Axelsen from Denmark, Chen Yu Fei, Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong from China and Lee Yang/Wang Chi Lin from Taiwan, An Se Young from South Korea, Pusarla V. Sindhu from India and Ratchanok Intanon from Thailand.
