Formula E Racers Praise the Beauty of JIEC Jakarta Circuit

VIVA – Formula E will be held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) Ancol, North Jakarta soon on June 4, 2022. The electric car racing will be a separate history for the Indonesian GP world. Ahead of the race, the FE racer Avalanche Andretti and Oliver Askew praised the JIEC Circuit via Instagram Story.

Swedish national racer Oliver Askew responded to Formula E's official Instagram account posting which uploaded an aerial photo of the Ancol JIEC Circuit. The photo also shows the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

Not only that, Avalanche Andretti made an Instagram post showing the face of racer Oliver Askew, he wrote a caption that according to Oliver Askew, he couldn't wait to race in the Indonesian race and Oliver Askew was incredible to see Indonesia for the first time.

“#Jakarta will be our first hot race with the high risk of thermal battery management. I look forward to that new challenge of FE and it will also be incredible to see Indonesia for the first time. The track has been really nice to drive on the sim, the layout should produce the best racing we will see so far this year” Avalanche Andretti wrote in one of his Instagram posts on May 26, 2022.

The Jakarta race is the ninth series in the 2021-2022 Formula E calendar. Jakarta is the only city in Southeast Asia to host the 2022 Formula E. Before Jakarta, the last race was held in Berlin, Germany.

Dozens of Formula E drivers and crew started arriving in Indonesia through Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Tuesday, May 31, 2022. The Formula E racer is ready to compete at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) Ancol, North Jakarta, on June 4, 2022.

"Today, 18 drivers and 904 Formula E crew arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport," said Soekarno-Hatta Airport Immigration Head, Muhammad Tito Andrianto.

On arrival, incoming drivers and crew are subject to Visa B211 and Visa on Arrival (VOA) for countries subject to VOA.

"All drivers and crew enter through Soekarno-Hatta Airport using this type of visa," said Tito Andrianto.

As is known, as many as 22 Formula E racing cars and their properties first arrived in Indonesia via the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Cargo Terminal, Tangerang on Sunday, May 22, 2022. The electric racing cars are already in the JIEC circuit area.
