VIVA – The expansion of the odd-even policy to 26 points is starting today, Monday, June 13, 2022. Previously, on June 6 to 10, 2022 a trial of the expansion was carried out. Even so, the police have not given fines to motorists caught in raids. But now, people who violate this odd-even policy will be dealt by the Directorate of Traffic, Polda Metro Jaya.
The police will not just give another warning like during the trial last week. There are two methods of prosecution carried out. The first method is the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (E-TLE) camera, the second method is manually by members in the field.
For the violator’s data will be synchronized with the E-TLE data to send evidence of the violation. Then, for the manual action, police officers will take direct action agains violators.
"On the 13 points that we have just expanded to odd-even, we have socialized it from May 25 to June 5 yesterday," said Head of the Sub-Directorate for Guidance and Law Enforcement of the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police, Jamal Alam to reporters on Monday, 13 June 2022.
