Pule cheese comes from Serbia with an average price of $600/Â kilogram. Pule can be expensive due to the scarcity of one of the ingredients, namely Balkan donkey milk, which makes up 60% of Pule cheese.
Unfortunately, for right now, Balkan donkeys only have about 100 females, not all of them nursing at any given time. Because it takes 25 liters of milk to make one kilogram of Pule, the price of Pule cheese is very expensive. Pule cheese is also only made in the region of origin of the Balkan donkeys, the Zasavica Nature Reserve in Serbia.

Moose cheese costs $1,000/kilogram, but is usually sold by the pound for around $445. So, Moose cheese is placed as the most expensive cheese in the world. The high price is because the cheese is made by only one group of cheese makers that actually makes Moose cheese in the world.
Led by Christer and Ulla Johansson, Moose cheese is made from deer milk at Johansson's farm in Sweden. They usually produce about 300 kg of cheese per year. Three types of Moose cheese are made with a softer, tougher crust and a blue cheese is finally ripe.
