Whittier City, All Residents Live in the Same One Building

VIVA – Whittier city is located in Alaska, United States, is one of the weirdest cities. This city only consists of approximately 200 residents, weird enough, all of them live in the only one building in the center of the city.
Whittier is 98-kilometers from Alaska's capital city, Anchorage and it will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to get to the city. Whittier is only accessible by ship or by road via a tunnel.
Whittier used to be a fairly busy city, but due to the 1987 earthquake, the city of Whittier was badly damaged. This made many people of this city decide to move from Whittier.
The building that became the "city center" was known as the Begich Tower because it has complete facilities such as a police station, two shops, offices, an indoor playground, lodging, post office and a health clinic. In fact, in the basement there is a church for residents.
Begich Tower was once a Military headquarters used during the World War. Even so, it turns out that there are other apartments across the city, but only about 20% of the population lives there and it's quiet.
For school, residents have to drive through the underground. The school in Whittier has 50 to 60 students in grades 8 until 12.

Usually, a city describes a crowd, then it’s different from the people of Whittier City. People of Whittier don’t like crowds and prefer the small and quiet town. Usually, the residents of this town only stayed close and greeted their fellow Whittier residents more often.
The Reasons to Live in One Same Building
The real reason why people choose to live in one building is the location of the city which is surrounded by forests and the sea. So, many wild animals roam and are considered to be a danger to residents' activities.
