After being successful with a very beautiful collection of traditional clothes or locally known as kebaya and tunic, Jaleela is releasing bags and shoes that are no less interesting. Jaleela's bags and shoes products have different motifs and designs. The Co-Founder of Jaleela, Putri, said that Jaleela is not only thinking about a sustainable business through environmentally friendly product materials, but also by utilizing fabric waste.

"The many pieces of cloth that are not used have triggered us to start thinking about the benefits of the leftover cloth. Shoes and bags were born, as our first step to reduce cloth waste and process them into valuable items," Putri said on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

The pieces of cloth from the remaining patchwork for making kebayas and tunics are turned into shoes and bags with floral and ethnic motifs. Each existing motif has a special meaning according to the specified concept.

The bag and shoe products are fashion items that complement the kebaya and skirt set with a choice of matching colors. This is Jaleela's concern; fulfill customer needs so that the clothing sets wear as for uniforms and it can look matching.

"The use of the same materials as kebaya, bags, and shoes makes it easier for customers to have a matching appearance with an affordable price," Putri said.

For bag products, currently Jaleela has two types, namely Sling bags and Hand bags. Meanwhile, for shoes, Jaleela provides sizes from 36-40.

"The two products are still in line with the colors of kebaya and skirts with Latte, Sage, Gray, or Mocca tones," Putri added.

Currently, Jaleela has 23 product designs divided into 4 categories. Starting from a top wear consisting of Runa Top, Sierra Top, Shea Top, Kalina Top, Kamala Top, Malea, Mallory.

Then, Jaleela's daily wear consists of inner, as well as skirt products consisting of a Farah skirt with ethnic cotton motifs, Rumi and Kiara skirts made of satin, as well as Selena skirts, Jemma skirts, and Tutu skirts made of blend of cotton and satin.

With the launch of the bag and shoe products, Jaleela's product category is added, namely accessories consisting of Loui shoes, Jane shoes, Emma bags, and Kim bags. The floral and ethnic motifs presented by Jaleela said Putri, are intended to scent and introduce Lombok and Indonesia.

Right now, the sustainable fashion from Jaleela have succeeded in attracting buyers not only from Indonesia, but also other Southeast Asian regions such as Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, China, and Taiwan.

According to Putri, buyers of Jaleela products are also in Europe. Unfortunately, the choice of expedition is still constrained.

"There are also buyers from Europe, but they are still constrained by the choice of expedition," she said.

Purchases of Jaleela products themselves can be done through accessing the Jaleela website, Jaleela's official Instagram account, and in some marketplaces.
