VIVA – The 2022 President's Cup pre-season tournament is entering a crucial phase. Four teams have already confirmed their move to the semifinals. This semifinal round begins on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
There is a difference in the semifinals compared to the previous round. This time, the format uses two legs with a home (kandang) and away system (tandang).
The four teams that qualified for the semi finals were PSIS Semarang, Arema FC, PSS Sleman and Borneo FC Samarinda. Reported by the official website of the President's Cup, the first leg will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Then on July 11, 2022 the second leg will take place.
In the first leg, PSIS Semarang will face Arema FC at the Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang. Followed by the PSS Sleman vs Borneo FC match at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman.
The second leg of the 2022 President's Cup match will take place on Monday, July 11, 2022. The first match of the second leg is Arema FC vs PSIS Semarang at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang.
Then for the second match of the second leg, Borneo FC Samarinda vs PSS Sleman at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda.
Arema's status as defending champion in the President's Cup. Singo Edan successfully won the last edition in 2019. They are also the team that won the most times with two titles. While the other three semifinalists have never won.
