VIVA – Basically, racism is prejudice and discrimination against skin color, race, or ethnicity. Racist must stop because all of us as human beings are created in different circumstances.
Although many countries try to show that they are adherents of pluralism, it turns out that there are still countries whose citizens are known to be racist. According to two studies conducted in 2013 and 2016, there are some of the most racist countries in the world that differentiate attitudes depending on a person's physical appearance and identity.
1. India

Unexpectedly, India is the most racist country. Based on a survey conducted, people of the country located in South Asia show a fairly large intolerance towards people with darker skin, whether it is of foreign descent, especially Africans or indigenous Indians who have darker skin.
Not at random, this idea is proven in the survey results. About 43.6% of Indians who took the survey said that they would not be comfortable with neighbors of different cultures, ethnicities or tribe.
2. Lebanon
As known, the population in Lebanon has a religion that is divided almost 50-50 between Christians and Muslims. Lebanon is a country where most of the people are from the same ethnic background.
This low level of diversity makes Lebanese citizens generally opposed to associating with people of other races. Surveys show that 64.40% of Lebanese have experienced or seen racism occur.
3. Bahrain

Bahrain is located on the Persian Gulf and just off the coast of Saudi Arabia. Nearly 50% of the population in Bahrain is of Bahraini descent with Indians having the highest percentile of immigrants and 85.7% of survey participants also admitted to having witnessed racism in Bahrain.
4. Libya

Most people in Libya are Arabs. Other ethnicities that include Libyans are Tunisians, Egyptians, Dawadas, Italians, Maltese, Greeks, Pakistanis, Turks, and Indians.
Through the study conducted, it was found that 54% of Libyans do not want to live next door to people of other races, while 39.7% of the population say that they have been victims of or witnessed discriminatory behavior.
5. Egypt

People born and raised in Egypt target 91% of its population, with the remaining 9% made up of Bedouins, Abazas, Turks and Greeks. It makes the people unfamiliar with the presence of other ethnicities, making Egypt one of the most racist countries in the world.
