Several Agendas Will be Discussed at the 3rd FMCBG G20 Bali

VIVA – There will be a meeting of the Ministers of Finance and Central Bank Governors of G20 member countries today, July 11, 2022 to July 17, 2022. This series of meetings will be held in Bali, Indonesia. The event summarizes the activities of the 3rd Finance Ministers and Central Banks Governors (FMCBG) Meeting of the G20.

Indonesia is known to be asked as the G20 Presidency this year. This series of meetings will be divided into three, namely the 3rd Finance and Central Banks Deputies (FCBD) Meeting on 13-14 July, 2022. Then, the 3rd FCMBG which will be held on July 15-16, 2022, and Side Events July 11-17, 2022.

At this meeting, there will be six priority agendas in the financial line to be discussed, such as:

The side events meeting will present several themes as follows:

1. Policy Normalization,

2. Digital Economy and Finance,

3. Green, Inclusion and Sharia Economy,

4. International Taxation.

As information, the United States and Russia are confirmed to be present at the third meeting of financial channels in Bali. This meeting will be attended by the Minister of Finance and Central Bank Governors from various member countries. For this meeting, as many as 447 people will be physically present with a virtual presence of 82 people.

Meanwhile, China will present virtually. Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor, Dody Budi Waluyo revealed that China had stated that China was not physically present at the meeting in Bali. China is the only country that will present virtually.

"If we look at the country, only one country from the G20 members will present virtually, namely China. For other countries will be physically present," Dody remarked in a Media Taklimat on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
