He also gave an example of a partnership that was born within the framework of "belt and road" including the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project.

"Until now, more than 91 percent of civil works on the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail line have been completed, and a total of 13 tunnels have been completed. Other major projects such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor, Two Countries, and Twin Parks cooperation have increased the cooperation and prosperity of the two countries," he said.

Zhu also said the two countries' trade cooperation has also increased significantly.

“In 2021, the value of bilateral trade will exceed the US$100 billion mark for the first time. China has become Indonesia's largest trading partner for 9 consecutive years and Indonesia's largest export destination for 6 consecutive years. In addition, China is one of the main investors in Indonesia," he added.

Therefore, the Chinese Consul General in Denpasar believes that the meeting between President Jokowi and President Xi will further strengthen relations between the two countries.

"We believe that we can further deepen strategic mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation between the two sides through President Jokowi's visit," Zhu remarked.
