VIVA – Menteng Park is one of the parks in Jakarta that has interesting things in it. This park is located in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta.
This park stands on an area of ??2.9 hectares and has a collection of 30 different plant species. Menteng Park also has a variety of supporting facilities to attract visitors.
Uniquely, in this park, there are also 44 infiltration wells to help absorb rainwater into the ground. Until now, Menteng Park is still one of the hangout places for millennials to Gen Z in Jakarta.

Long time ago, Menteng Park was the place where a football field or stadium was founded called Voetbalbond Indische Omstreken Sport and then changed its name to Voetbal is Onze Sport (VIOS or Viosveld).
The field was built in 1921 which was designed by an architect from the Netherlands named F.J. Cubatz and P.A.J Moojen.
During colonialism, the place was often used as a place for sports activities, such as football. However, this use can only be made for those who employ it, and is not open to the general public.
In the middle of 1960, it became the headquarters of the Persija football club. Then, in 2004, Governor Sutiyoso, changed the Persija station as a public facility that could be used by many people.
Persija Stadium only has a quota of 10,000 spectators. Initially, the stadium building was dismantled and turned into a green park in the middle of Jakarta.
The construction of the park was completed in 2007 until now. Menteng Park has been inaugurated by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government since April 28, 2007.

1. Jogging Track
Apart from being a cool and fun tourist spot, this park can also be used as a means for jogging. Menteng Park has a special path to be used by people who want to jog.
2. Football Field

It has two fields because futsal is currently being enjoyed more. When people want to use this field, they have to ask permission from the field manager.
3. Basketball Field
The basketball field facilities in Menteng Park can be used as a place to exercise. In fact, it is not uncommon for basketball games to be held on this field. Well maintained field conditions make many young people love to exercise here.
In the corner of the field, there are also fitness equipments that can be used for free. The basketball court is only open to the general public Monday through Friday.
4. Greenhouse
Initially, the greenhouse in Menteng Park was intended as a nursery garden for various types of plants. But in the end, this greenhouse was converted into a building for art or photo exhibitions.
Apart from being a place for exhibitions, this greenhouse is also often used as a place for theater activities. The works that are often shown here are the works of Indonesian artists and artists around Menteng Park.

Menteng park has nests of books, or street libraries. For people who love to read books, they can feel the experience of reading books in this park while enjoying the natural scenery, and a comfortable place, because there are special seats available for readers.
6. Children's Playground
Visitors who want to spend time with their children can also visit this park. There is a children's playground with several toy rides in it.
Such as slides, swings, and wooden bridges that use ropes and for parents don’t need to worry about the cleanliness of this park, because the cleaners will regularly clean it.
7. Fountain
There is a fountain in the middle of the garden. The circular water has a fairly large size. In addition to seeing the fountain, visitors can see a lot of fish in the pond and they also can feed the fish.
8. Wi-Fi
Currently, Menteng Park has also been equipped with free Wi-Fi facilities. So, it is suitable as a place to do tasks while enjoying the shade of green trees. It makes the visitors feel at home for a long time here. However, this facility only has one provider.
9. Parking Building
The Menteng Park parking building was built with four floors. The purpose is to control the personal vehicle of each visitor. It also aims to prevent vehicles from appearing on the side of the road.
Opening Hours and Entrance Price in Menteng Park
Menteng Park is open every day for general visitors. Open from 5 am to 10 pm. The basketball court itself can only be used from Monday to Friday.
As for the price of admission to Menteng Park itself, it is free for all visitors. Visitors are only charged a parking fee if they bring a vehicle.
