"We, Indonesian lifters, were able to gain gold on the first day, so we are very, very grateful," Ni Nengah Widiasih added.

The athlete who is usually called Widi has succeeded in completing her ambition of breaking the ASEAN Para Games record.

In that match, Widi was still trying to lift even more weight, but still failed.

But her failure in the second and third batches at 99kg became a reference for her to exercise even harder to set new records. Meanwhile, she is still grateful because she can maintain the gold medal.

"I'm a little sad because the total class isn't as good as before, but I'm grateful that I can still maintain the gold medal," Ni Nengah Widiasih explained.
