VIVA – In an effort to prevent sexual harassment on public transportation, PT TransJakarta is supported by the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service on Friday, August 5, 2022 to do socialization through the 'Stop Sexual Harassment' campaign on all buses.
According to the Director of Operations and Safety of TransJakarta, Yoga Adiwinarto, TransJakarta users each day reach approximately 700 thousand customers, where with this number, the potential for sexual harassment is easier to occur.
"We started the STOP Sexual Harassment campaign as a preventive measure. In this campaign, we are not only focusing on the (special) bus fleet, we are also focusing on the reporting system." Yoga remarked.
Furthermore, Yoga Adiwinarto said that passengers should be more courageous and willing to help victims of sexual harassment.
"We hope that customers also monitor other customers, and we must be brave to speak up to help, and if we become victims, brave to speak up," Yoga added.

Yoga Adiwinarto also said that currently the TransJakarta company has opened a hotline at telephone number 1500 102, or can contact directly on Twitter @PT_Transjakarta.
Besides of that, direct complaint services by reporting incidents of harassment to officers when they are witnesses or victims of sexual harassment.
"We are committed to assisting victims from handling to reporting. From TransJakarta we encourage to stop sexual harassment. Then, TransJakarta will ensure officers are ready to handle and supervise, we also add officers at bus stops and on buses have started to prevent sexual harassment. We must have the courage to report and dare to fight back the sexual predators," Yoga explained.

The Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo also expressed his appreciation for the socialization carried out by TransJakarta through this campaign to prevent acts of sexual harassment and violence in Indonesia, especially in the DKI Jakarta area.
"For that, obviously, socialization and campaigns will continue. Today is the kick off from the implementation of the campaign which will be followed up with the installation of stickers for prevention or efforts to stop sexual harassment," Syafrin Liputo remarked.
According to Syafrin, all TransJakarta shelters will be affixed with a STOP Sexual Harassment sticker accompanied by information on complaints services that are on standby.
"Yes, it will be in Transjakarta and we have also made a circular for all bus operators in Jakarta to put up stickers related to efforts to prevent sexual harassment," Syafrin explained.
