VIVA – The Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) of North Sumatra Province is preparing for the Asia Pacific Rally Championship or APRC 2022 in Lake Toba. This prestigious competition will present overseas racers who will cross the Nauli Sector Industrial Plantation Forest, Parapat, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra, in September 2022.
The chairman of IMI North Sumatra, Harun Nasution, said that the 2022 APRC in Lake Toba will feature rally racers from India, Malaysia, to Japan and from other countries. In addition, Indonesian racers will also participate.
"There will be one coming from India, one person, Malaysia, hopefully from Japan and others," Harun said to reporters in Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra, On Sunday, August 7, 2022.
Harun Nasution expects assistance from the Central Government to provide easy access for rally racers from abroad to bring their racing cars.
"Hopefully, asking that person (the racer) to make it easy for that person's car to arrive (coming from abroad to Indonesia) and return to that person's country, we need the assistance from the government," Harun remarked.

Previously, the Lake Toba National Rally 2022 Championship was over. Harun said that many participants from the prestigious competition had started to fight again in the APRC, which was planned to take place from ??September 23 to 25, 2022.
"It has been confirmed for next month and they are already preparing the car for next month," Harun remarked.
For the development of the APRC infrastructure, Harun said that it has been started from now on.
"We will work on it from now on, making our friends comfortable in the future. We are improving the current track and overall, we consider it good for the rally, including the track and others," Harun explained.
He also said that the rally track for the Nauli Sector Industrial Forest, Parapat, will be added to a Special Stage (SS). So, it will provide the latest challenges and international standard trajectories.
"We will add two Special Stage in Aek Nauli and two in Huta Tonga," Harun Narution said.
Harun said that his party had fulfilled all the requirements set by the FIA. So, the crossing on Lake Toba is worthy of holding the APRC 2022.
"The APRC requirements are sufficient, representatives from the FIA have come from India, they are very happy with them and have been very sufficient for us to (organize) the APRC," Harun remarked.
