VIVA – The atmosphere of the independence anniversary celebration for Indonesia on August 17, 2022 did not end yet. Many congratulations came from various parties, including the big England Premier League club, Manchester City.
Through Manchester City's official Instagram and Twitter accounts, the club that won the Premier League last season uploaded a photo that depicts an inscription on the large screen of the Etihad Stadium, Manchester which reads "DIRGAHAYU REPUBLIK INDONESIA KE-77” or DIRGAHAYU OF THE 77th REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA.
"Etihad Stadium also celebrates and gives greetings to Indonesia," wrote the photo caption on the @mancity indo account.
To note, this is not the first time Manchester City have conveyed a message of congratulations for Indonesia's independence, previously last year Manchester City also did the same thing but in a different way, namely congratulations from the players.
Furthermore, on Instagram ManCity there is another form of greeting from Manchester City. The Citizens players participated in various competitions in the 17's but not the true meaning.
Only caricatures of Manchester City players taking part in the competition. There was Phil Foden who took part in the cracker eating competition. Then Erling Haaland joined the sack race. Calvin Phillips and Ederson Moraes follow the betel nut climbing. Meanwhile, Jack Grealish and Julian Alvarez joined the tug of war.
