VIVA – Three thousand people from four regions in Indonesia such as Sidoarjo Regency, Malang Regency, Malang City, and Gresik Regency will receive land certificates from President Joko Widodo on Monday, August 22, 2022.
When delivering his remarks, President Jokowi encouraged the people who were present to use the land certificates that had been received wisely. According to Jokowi, it doesn't matter if people want to use the certificate as collateral to apply for a loan to the bank.
However, Jokowi suggested that the loan money be used to increase business capital. Do not let the money borrowed from the bank be used for useless things.
"Please borrow it from the bank, but if you get Rp100 million (for example), use it for working capital, use it for investment capital, use it for business capital," Jokowi explained in Sidoarjo.

President Jokowi is reminding the public to calculate properly if the certificate will be used for loans to banks and don’t use the borrowed money for consumptive things.
“For example, get Rp500 millions of Rp250 million for buying a new car. It's nice to go around the dashing village, go around the dashing village by car, but it's only been 6 months, believe me, it's only 6 months old. After that, you can't pay in installments, you can't pay the bank installments, you can't pay the car, that's where the disaster begins," President Jokowi remarked.
Not only that, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency, Hadi Tjahjanto in his report said that the distribution of land certificates was part of the stimulus to improve the people's economy in line with the decline in Covid-19.
"Because with land certificates, people have the opportunity to get access to capital in addition to having legal certainty about their land," Hadi Tjahjanto remarked.
Also accompanying President Jokowi in the activity were Mrs. Iriana Jokowi, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor Ali.
