President Jokowi conveyed that every decision needs to be considered in depth.

"It must also be calculated that increasing inflation can reduce economic growth. All of them, I ask you to calculate correctly before making a decision," Jokowi remarked.

Previously, the coordinating minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, expressed the possibility that President Jokowi will announce an increase in the price of subsidized fuels such as diesel and Pertalite next week.

If this decision is taken by the government, Luhut hopes that the community will be prepared to face the increase in Pertalite and diesel prices. It is because the fuel subsidy, which currently has reached more than Rp502 trillion, is considered to be a very heavy burden on the state budget.
