VIVA – The Bali-Mandara Toll Road Project carried out by PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk through its subsidiary, PT Jasamarga Bali Tol (JBT) is ready to welcome delegates from the G20 Summit. The arrangement of the Bali-Mandara Toll Road has been 100 percent completed in the third week of August 2022.
Some of the arrangements made include landscape arrangement, a green environment in mangrove planting programs, and gardening. Then, green energy in the work of Solar Power Plants (PLTS).
Also, there is the addition of local Balinese culture to the ornaments of Public Street Lighting, renovation of toll gates, and the installation of sculptures of Balinese dancers.
President Director of PT Jasamarga Bali Tol, I Ketut Adiputra Karang said that the Bali-Mandara Toll Road is one of the infrastructures that will later support the mobility of the delegations of G20 member countries.
"Not only making arrangements for aesthetics, but we are also committed to implementing green environment and green energy-based programs, this is in line with the environmental issues discussed in the G20," Ketut Adiputra remarked in an official statement on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

According to Ketut Adiputra, PT Jasamarga Bali Tol also plants mangrove seedlings on the Bali Mandara Toll Road with a total of 756,800 seedlings. The planting at Ngurah Rai Interchange and Km 3+600.
"This number includes the planting of mangrove seedlings that form the words G20 of 158x54 meters with a total of 300,000 seedlings," Ketut Adiputra said.
In planting seedlings, there are challenges such as how Jasamarga Bali Toll's efforts are in maintaining mangrove seedlings when the weather is uncertain, and strong winds have the potential to cause high waves.
“For sure the growth of Mangrove, we (PT Jasamarga Bali Tol) also protect the mangrove the phenomenon paper algae that predicted occur until the end of September 2022,” I Ketut Adiputra remarked.
PT Jasamarga Bali Tol (JBT) will speed up the growth of lush plants, and flower with some effort, such as pruning leaves and twigs on Bougenville. Also, fertilization and irrigation routine for plants and flowers.
These efforts are to ensure all plants continue to grow lush and flower during the implementation of the G20 Presidency.
"Meanwhile, PLTS in collaboration with PT Bukit Energi Investama has also started operating to meet daily electricity needs, such as PJUs, Operational Offices, and toll gates," Ketut Adiputra explained.
According to Adiputra, the energy efficiency produced by the PLTS with a capacity of 400 Kwp will make the Bali Mandara Toll Road more environmentally friendly. This is in line with reducing global carbon emissions which is one of the focuses of Indonesia's G20 Presidency.
