Denmark Open 2022: Sixteen Indonesian Representatives Will Play

VIVA – In the prestigious Denmark Open 2022, Indonesia will send sixteen representatives who will compete on October 18 to 23, 2022 in Odense, Denmark. The Central Board of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) on last friday released the names that will appear at the Denmark Open 2022.
From the men's singles sector, Anthony Ginting will compete at the 2022 Denmark Open after suffering a low back injury that forced him to withdraw from the 2022 Japan Open. PBSI said Anthony Ginting's injury is getting better and started training this week.
From the women's singles sector, there are Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusumawardani are ready to represent Indonesia in Odense.
Meanwhile, from the men's doubles sector, Indonesia sends the five best pairs who often become mainstays in the BWF super series tournament, such as Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
Then, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi will represent Indonesia in the women's doubles sector.
In the previous competition, Indonesia failed to bring a single title at the 2021 Denmark Open and missed participating in the edition two years ago because of COVID-19.

Indonesia last won the 2018 and 2019 editions of the Denmark Open through the men's doubles of Marcus Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya, and Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti who got the highest podium in the 2019 edition.
After Denmark Open 2022, this year's European badminton tour will continue with the French Open (Super 750) on October 25 to 30 in Paris.

Men's Singles: Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jonatan Christie, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Shesar Hiren Rhustavito Women's Singles: Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani.
Men's Doubles: Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin.
Women's Doubles: Apriyani Rahayu/Siri Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi.
