We can see the high tourism potential and creative economy that can be developed in thousands of villages spread throughout Indonesia, especially in the Kembang Jepun area," Head of the Surabaya City Culture, Youth and Sports and Tourism Office, Wiwik Widayati remarked in her statement on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

The mural artists also present their best works at some iconic points in the Kembang Jepun Chinatown Tourism area. Several mural areas were applied with Nippon Weatherbond.

The mural works are also combined with Pylox products which makes it easier for mural artists to create and beautify the Kembang Jepun Chinatown Tourism area.

Asst. The General Manager of Nippon Paint Indonesia, Wirya Atmaja, positively welcomed the development of tourist areas carried out by the local government in this area.

"We hope that Kembang Jepun Chinatown Tourism can continue to be one of the iconic tourist destinations in Surabaya," Wirya Atmaja explained.

The reborn of Kembang Jepun Chinatown Tourism or now as Kya-Kya Reborn also has an impact on improving the economy of the surrounding community. This is evidenced by the presence of 60 MSMEs, 30 of which are from people around the Kembang Jepun area.

The Kembung Japan Chinatown Tourism is open on Friday until Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to culinary tourism, visitors can enjoy various artistic displays of historical tourism on Kembang Jepun Street.
