Be Ready, Manny Pacquiao Will Open a Boxing School in Jakarta

VIVA – World boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao will open a boxing school in Jakarta with Fahd Adityo Oscar or King Fahd. The collaboration between both has been stated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed in Denpasar, Bali last weekend.

Fahd Adityo said that this collaboration with world boxing legend is expected to improve the quality of boxers in the country. Fahd Adityo's want to establish a boxing school has been around for a long time, exactly in 2017.

"I want to cultivate new, well-trained seeds. This boxing school is open to anyone who wants to pursue boxing," Fahd Adityo remarked in a written statement received in Jakarta on Monday, September 26, 2022.

"But if I was alone, it would be difficult to lift boxing in Indonesia. Until finally collaborating with Pacquiao. Who does not know Pacquiao? He is not only a world-class boxer but has a clear vision and mission in developing boxing in his country, the Philippines," Fahd Adityo added. 

The Philippines is known as a country that has a row of world boxers. Pacquiao is a former world champion in eight different divisions.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao said the sport is significant for a country, especially boxing. Boxing teaches disciplines such as getting up early, managing time, sharpening emotions, practicing patience, and being able to stay away from drugs.

"From here, we can build a very good country. Apart from being physically fit, we as citizens are also mentally healthy," Pacquaio remarked.

Pacquiao has a boxing school in the Makati area of ??Metro Manila, Philippines. As for Jakarta, this boxing school will later be given the same name as Makati, namely Manny Pacquiao Boxing Academy.

According to Fahd, this collaboration with Pacquaio is planned for five years and he hopes it can last forever. The Manny Pacquiao Boxing Academy in Jakarta will later be divided into two parts, namely, classes for members and athletes.

Fahd explained that for the member class, anyone can join the training by paying as a member either per arrival or pay per month. As for the athlete class, this Academy opens classes for prospective athletes. The recruitment for prospective athletes with an age range of 11 to 15 years.
