VIVA English Site – The Ministry of Home Affairs has extended the status of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 1 for the Java-Bali and Outside Java-Bali Regions until November 7, 2022.
Through the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs signed by the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the determination of the regional level is guided by indicators community transmission of community efforts in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Indonesian government has extended again the PPKM even though the condition of COVID-19 for the past month has continued to improve.
The regulation is contained in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 45 of 2022 for Java and Bali, and Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 46 of 2022 for Outside Java and Bali. Both Inmendagri will be effective until November 7, 2022.

The implementation of the Inmendagri in substance is not much different from the implementation of the previous Inmendagri, where based on input from experts all regions in Indonesia have PPKM level 1.
The adjustment is not many different because in the past month, regions in Indonesia have been in PPKM level 1 status since the extension of the Minister of Home Affairs Instruction Number 42 of 2022 for Java and Bali, and the Minister of Home Affairs' Instruction Number 43 of 2022 for Outside Java and Bali which took effect last September.
In this Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, emphasized that governors, regents, and mayors should accelerate the process of distributing social assistance and social safety nets sourced from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
Then, if there is a need for additional funding for budgeting and distribution of social assistance and social safety nets to support the implementation of the COVID-19 PPKM, Tito Karnavian said that rationalization and/or reallocation of budgets from activity programs that are less prioritized in the social assistance budget and social safety nets.
The procedure for rationalizing and/or reallocating additional funding needs for budgeting and distribution of social assistance for social safety nets in supporting the implementation of the COVID-19 PPKM is guided by Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 20 of 2020 and Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 39 of 2020.
