Price of Hyundai Ioniq 5 in Indonesia Reaches Rp1 Billion in Used Car Market

VIVA – The Hyundai Ioniq 5 becomes the first locally produced electric car. This model has first introduced in Indonesia some time ago and received a positive response from consumers because it has specialty features.

This electric car model is designed using the Electric - Global Modular Platform or E-GMP platform and is made to the maximum extent possible using environmentally friendly materials. One example is plastic bottles that have been sterilized, crushed, and recycled, then used as chair material.

The exterior looks sophisticated because of the use of Parametric Pixal LEDs in the main lighting and LED lights as accents on the front. The door opening lever is made flush with the body, giving a minimalist impression.

The South Korean company embeds Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist technology that can detect the distance to the vehicle in front so a collision does not occur.



Since it was first launched at the IIMS 2022 exhibition until now, there have been thousands of people who have ordered the emission-free state-of-the-art car.

However, they have to be willing to wait up to a year because the production process is hampered because of the scarcity of semiconductor components that is still hitting.

This caused sales of the Ioniq 5 on the used car market to skyrocket. Some units offered are still new because they have never been used.

From VIVA's search on the used car buying and selling page, Friday, October 14, 2022, the price of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 offered by the owner can reach more than one billion rupiahs.

Meanwhile, according to information on the official Hyundai Indonesia website, the official price of the electric car is in new condition for the highest version, only Rp859 million, and has the status of on the road in DKI Jakarta.
