VIVA – Racer from Red Bull, Max Verstappen won the F1 Mexican Grand Prix at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Mexico City, on October 31, 2022. This was Verstappen's 14 victories in the F1 racing series and he managed to break the record as the racer with the most wins in one season.
Max Verstappen beat Lewis Hamilton who finished second. Hamilton was 15.186 seconds behind Verstappen. At the same time, Sergio Perez is in third position and 18.097 seconds behind Verstappen.
Verstappen also beat two legendary racers, Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, for the most wins in a single racing season.
The Dutch racer who already has a world title at the Japanese GP is getting stronger at the top of the standings with 416 points. Sergio Perez moved up to second with 280 points, overtaking Charles Leclerc in third (275 points).
