VIVA – When people start to enter the college education phase, they have to choose a major that suits their interests. Usually, each prospective student has their own goals and reasons for choosing a major.
If people like the college major that they take, then they will go through college life without much pressure. Some people, however, choose a college major because they want to aim for a job that makes a lot of money and is guaranteed, even though the major can be said to be difficult.
All college majors do have their difficulties for college students, well, here are some college majors that are considered the hardest but have a bright future opportunity because they make a lot of money, as reported by Brainacademy.
1. Architecture Major

The most difficult college major in Indonesia is an Architecture major because the students will learn about assessors for project feasibility studies, building and environmental management, working in the building materials and elements industry, and several other important lessons.
Despite being one of the most difficult majors, the job prospects for architecture graduates are very promising. Apart from being an architect, you also have the opportunity to become a contractor, developer, surveyor, architectural consultant, and many more.
2. Medical Major

Medical Major become one of the most difficult majors. Being a doctor is a job that many dreams of. There are several reasons why medical school is one of the most difficult majors.
First, studying in the Medical department requires students to master the sciences about the system, various diseases, and treatment of diseases that attack the human body.
The second reason is the duration of education that must be taken by a medical student. When other majors only require 3.3-4 years of study, the Department of Medicine requires students to take at least 5-6 years of education until they can receive the title of Doctor.
3. Pharmacy Major

In the Pharmacy major, college students must learn about medicine, anatomy, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, body cells, medicinal plants, public health, management, and marketing.
Therefore, Pharmacy is one of the most difficult college majors. In 2014, the Directorate General of Higher Education acknowledged that the Department of Pharmacy was the 5th most interesting department in higher education in Indonesia. Even today, the Pharmacy major is included in the ten most difficult college majors to enter.
4. Engineering Major

College students who choose Engineering majors must study Physics, Calculus, Statistics, Biology, to Geology. Many people say it is difficult to get good grades in this major. Because of the difficulty, the Department of Engineering has even been called a 'department of hell' by the National Center for Education Statistics.
All branches of Engineering science are considered not easy. Starting from Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and the main star in this discussion, namely the Civil Engineering Department.
Although it is quite difficult, it makes this graduate a lot of interest because only the job opportunities offered for Civil Engineering graduates are also very wide and varied. So, it's only natural that this engineering is the target of many people and is one of the most difficult majors to enter.
5. Mathematics and Statistics Majors

As it turns out, there is a Mathematic major! College students who choose this major must have dedication, perseverance, and extra effort.
Majoring in mathematics or statistics will provide knowledge about processing and presenting data in the form of analysis that can be applied in creating plans that are useful for future progress.
