B20 has an important role in determining the direction of global economic policy after the pandemic, especially in the G20 countries through the G20 Summit. This communique contains a core summary of views, directions, and solutions from all B20 task forces (TF) and action councils that have worked to formulate policy recommendations throughout 2022.

B20 Indonesia has prepared a document that summarizes all policy recommendations, policy actions and legacy programs to be submitted to the G20 Summit for G20 adoption and implementation.

In his speech at the B20 Summit, President Joko Widodo expressed his optimism regarding Indonesia's economic recovery even though the pandemic has disrupted the global economic order.

"It turns out that 10 months later there was a war crisis, a food crisis, and an energy and financial crisis. But we are grateful, Indonesia in the second quarter still grew 5.44 percent, and in the third quarter grew 5.72 percent. Inflation is also under control. Our economy will continue to grow," President Jokowi said when closing the B20 Summit which had been held from November 13 to 14, 2022 at BNDCC, Bali.

President Joko Widodo also added three major strategies carried out by Indonesia in facing global economic challenges such as pandemics, food, energy, and economic crises, which include down streaming industries, developing a green economy aka green energy to digitalization.

"Our green economy or new renewable energy potential is around 434 thousand MW. All natural potentials from the sun, water, and wind are all there. This is an opportunity for investors to invest here because indeed green investment is not small. So, we want to jointly build a green economy in Indonesia," President Jokowi remarked.

President Jokowi also emphasized the importance of MSMEs collaborating with large companies to encourage accelerated digitalization. There are 19 million MSMEs that have entered the digital platform and are targeted to reach 30 million MSMEs by 2024.

Meanwhile, the Chair of B20 Indonesia, Shinta Kamdani, also emphasized that the policy recommendation produced by B20 for the G20 is significant contribution of Indonesia to the recovery of global economic recovery.
