British Man Suddenly Could Speak Only French After Having Seizure

VIVA – A man from the UK says that he can only speak and think in French after experiencing a seizure triggered by a brain tumor. In fact, he didn't speak French at first.
Marcus Jones from Glenrothes, Fife, UK started experiencing headaches in September last year. He was initially diagnosed with epilepsy, but a scan showed a tumor in his occipital lobe. Side effects included vision problems, memory loss, and brain fog.
However, there was something strange about her brain. During a rather long seizure, he lost the ability to speak English.
"It was scary, I could see my partner and I tried to tell him I was having a seizure but I could only think and speak in French. It only lasted for a few minutes but I was thinking fluently and I recognized it was French," he said surprisingly.
Moreover, he felt strange about himself, a little frustrated that he couldn't speak English.

Jones wanted to remove the tumor, afraid that he could experience something strange like that again. But the operation risked him losing his sight.
"It would be very difficult to remove because it's low-grade which means the tumor looks like healthy brain tissue," Jones remarked.
"My surgeon said that he was sure he could take out at least 70 percent but there were parts located in the folds of the brain that he wasn't so sure about. If he can get it all out, the chances of survival are about 90 percent for someone in my demographic. It sounds crazy but I want to wake up for the procedure, so I can let him know if I'm having problems with my vision.” Jones explained.
Marcus Jones also said that he had hopes and fears about having this surgery. However, his little family changed everything. So, he wanted to make sure to have much time for his little family.
