VIVA – Towards the end of 2022, Toyota launches a new car for the Indonesian automotive market. This vehicle is made with a dashing appearance than its standard design. This car is the Toyota Hilux, which is included in the double-cabin pickup segment. This time, the Toyota Hilux comes in the Gazoo Racing or GR Sport version.
Although the launch was held today, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, the form of the vehicle was previously displayed at the GIIAS 2022 exhibition.
"Protected by more sophisticated and complete safety features, New Hilux GR Sport is the best choice for off-road-sportscar enthusiasts," Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, Henry Tanoto stated in an official statement, quoted Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

The original appearance of the Hilux, which is known to be dashing and tough, is updated by installing several typical GR Sports ornaments. The trapezoidal grille is given a touch of the Toyota name, just like the All-New Land Cruiser GR Sport.
There are many GR Sport accents embedded in the car, which is available in four-wheel drive variants, ranging from side plates, 18-inch rims, and tape stripes, to badges.
For the interior, Toyota installed GR Sport-style seats with a combination of suede and synthetic leather to emphasize the sporty impression.
The machine car relies on a 1GD-FTV diesel engine with a capacity of 2,800 ccs, which can produce 201 horsepower and 500 Newton meters of torque with Euro 4 emission standards.
Then, power distribution is channeled to all wheels via an eam-speed automatic transmission, with sequential shift and paddle shift making it the first double cloth pickup car in Indonesia to use technology.
The suspension is also made more rigid, through the use of a Mono-Tube Type Shock Absorber. The braking system uses GR Brake with red calipers.
The Toyota Hilux GR Sport is embedded with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 safety system, and the car is marketed at IDR728.2 million on the road DKI Jakarta.
