Indonesia is one of the countries that consists of many startup companies. In fact, four startup founders are known to be the richest in Indonesia. Here's the story.

Nadiem Makarim is currently the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology under the Joko Widodo cabinet. He is the founder of the startup Gojek which is an online transportation application and others.

Now, the application has spread across Southeast Asia such as Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand. The 38-year-old minister is now included in the list of the richest startups in Indonesia and has a wealth of IDR1.4 trillion. He is also a graduate of Harvard University in 2006.

2. Ferry Unardi (Traveloka)

Ferry Unardi is an entrepreneur and founder of the Traveloka startup. Before establishing Traveloka, he started creating the E-Ticketing industry when he was 23 years old, precisely in 2012.

Then, he and his college colleagues developed an airplane and train ticket sales system. When he first built the startup, no airlines were willing to work with him.

However, as the website traffic progressed, many airlines came to ask for cooperation. For every ticket purchased on his website, he asks for 5 percent of the price of a ticket. Therefore, he is estimated to have a wealth of IDR 2.1 trillion. He is also a graduate of Harvard University and is now 34 years old.

3. William Tanuwijaya (Tokopedia)

William Tanuwijaya is an entrepreneur and founder of Startup Tokopedia. He was born November 11, 1981 in Pemantang Sintar, North Sumatra. He then migrated to Jakarta to follow his father's wants, then he studied at Binus University.

After that, his father became ill and required William Tanuwijaya to find a side job to continue his studies. Then he worked at an internet cafe which gave rise to the idea of him making Tokopedia in 2009.

Now, Tokopedia is one of the startups that has a very large income. So, it's no wonder that William Tanuwijaya has a wealth of IDR1.8 trillion.

4. Achmad Zaky (Bukalapak)

Achmad Zaky is an entrepreneur and founder of the startup Bukalapak. He first founded the site in 2010 with his coworkers Muhammad Fajrin Rasyid and Nugroho Herucahyono.

In addition, he spent his undergraduate education at the Bandung Institute of Technology majoring in Informatics Engineering. The 36-year-old entrepreneur now has a wealth of IDR1.8 trillion.
