VIVA – The national team of Argentina won the 2022 World Cup after beating the national team of France. The match held at Lusail Stadium on Sunday, December 18, 2022, ended with a score of 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw for 120 minutes of play.
Argentina took the initiative to attack early in the first half. The Tango team relied on attacks from the flanks. Argentina's relentless attack finally paid off in the 23rd minute. Starting with a foul on Di Maria, the referee pointed to the spot.
Lionel Messi, who became the executioner without a mistake, tricked Lloris by put the ball into the left side of the goal. Argentina took a 1-0 lead. Amazingly, Lionel Messi beat Lloris again to give Argentina a 3-2 lead in the 108th minute. When Argentina was almost becoming champions, Mbappe again emerged as France's savior with a goal on a penalty kick in the 118th minute. After the goal, the winner had to be decided on penalties after a 3-3 draw over 120 minutes.
Mbappe took the task as the first executor. He completed his task.
Likewise with Messi. As the first kicker, he was able to beat Lloris.
But unfortunately, Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni as the next two kickers failed to complete their duties because they were brushed off and sideways. Randal Kolo Muani's goal could not save France.
