VIVA – After Lionel Messi got his first FIFA World Cup title, there was an understandable clamor from Barcelona fans that would welcome the return of the Argentine international back to Camp Nou. This is because it is known that Messi’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain will expire at the end of the season.
Many believe there is even an opportunity for Barcelona to sign him back. However, his father, Jorge Messi says that his son is unlikely to return to play for Barcelona anytime soon.
"I don't think so, the conditions are not right," Jorge told reporters at Barcelona airport.

The 35-year-old signed for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the summer of 2021 after Barcelona was unable to renew his contract due to Spanish La Liga financial fair play rules.
"We didn't even talk to (Barcelona) president Joan Laporta and there has been no proposal from Barcelona, not that it is impossible but Messi is now contracted to Paris Saint-Germain," added Jorge.
Messi's contract with PSG will expire in the summer of 2023. Messi and the French club are in the process of negotiating to extend his contract.
"Life changes a lot," said Jorge Messi, when asked if he would like to see his son play for Barcelona again.
Messi joined Barcelona at the age of 13 and became a club legend after winning 35 trophies with the club, scoring a record 672 goals in 778 matches in all competitions.
