VIVA – Formula E is a class of auto racing that uses electric-powered cars, this event will be held in Jakarta, soon. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Formula E 2023 or Jakarta E-Prix Organizing Committee, Ananda Mikola targets 50 thousand spectators to attend the international electric car racing event on June 3-4, 2023.

Mikola considered the target realistic considering that Formula E in 2022 was a success, "My target for the spectators outside and inside is 50 thousand people," Ananda Mikola remarked on Wednesday.

The former National racer said that Formula E 2023 will be more challenging because it takes place in two series. Last season, he said, there was only one series, but this time Jakarta is trusted to hold the 10th and 11th series of races.

"This is a heavy position, heavier than a racer. We race two series, 10 and 11. This is quite a challenge, especially for our marshal team. This is the first time for Indonesia to have two events," said Mikola.

In addition, Ananda Mikola also said that this season's series will be more challenging because a new generation of cars will be used. However, despite the positives of the new cars that will compete, the accident rate has also increased.

"This is a new car, which according to the information is more difficult than last year, but the battery is faster. The tires are also new. So, the hope is that there will be minimal accidents but it can provide an interesting spectacle," he added.

Mikola assessed that the circuit readiness is considered safe because the circuit is still well maintained, the track asphalt has not decreased in performance, and the grandstand is also still standing.

As information, The event is expected to bring international attention to Jakarta and Indonesia, showcasing the country's potential for hosting large-scale events and promoting sustainable technology.
